On Sunday, December 27 at 7:05am we lost our baby Ash due to complications associated with Tetrology of Fellot.  His funeral will be held at Gunderson's in Stoughton on Saturday, January 2 at 1:00pm with visitation at 12:00pm.
J.D. and I were married on March, 17 2007.  After serving ten years in the military he was medically discharged from active duty because of Diabetese.  He completed a "Long Term" in Okinawa, Japan, stationed in Washington D.C. and Wichita, KS.  He was deployed multiple times, served under Operation Northern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom and others.
Following his discharge we found jobs in Madison, Wisconsin.  After a year we bought our first home,we were getting settled in and decided to start a family.

Our son, Ash, was born May 11, 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin.  He was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot the next morning.  Since then he has been hospitalized twice once in the NICU and then again in the PICU for eating difficulties.  Currently he is hospitalized at the Childrens Hospital of Milwaukee since June 24.  He had his first open heart surgery on June 30.  After the surgery his patch came undone due to complications with his heart rhythm.  The doctors decided to perform another open heart surgery on July 24.  The doctors are still trying to get his rhythm under control with medications.  If the medications fail to work they will perform an ablation on him.  He had his third surgery September 1st because the nerves to the right side of his diaphragm have been damaged causing it to be paralyzed. He had his third open heart surgery in late September.  He was then placed on dialysis a couple of days before Thanksgiving.  We have been here a total of 25 weeks and aren't sure when we will be able to come home again.  After Ash comes home we will have more obstacles to deal with such as his motor and physical development.
